The two easiest ways to listen are:

The easiest way to find out what real customers think is to ask them.
2. Get Social on Social
Social media is a great tool for finding out more about your customers. Especially Facebook.
Check out their profile. You’ll find out heaps:
Who they are
What they like
Their jobs, locations, ages, and family
What they are interested in.
Ask for their opinion
Engaged customers will happily help you design offers, choose between designs, or help you out with a slogan.
Facebook has quizzes and polls you can use to make this easier.
Hang out in the groups your customers hang out
If you pay attention to what people are saying in groups instead of what you want to say, you’ll hear the pains, frustrations and motivators straight from your customers.
But – NEVER, screenshot or use people’s stories without their permission. It’s against group rules and it’s also not cool – so don’t do it.

You create a customer persona (a more detailed picture of the old target audience profile) for each of the type of customers you want to attract to your business.
Once you have a customer persona it’s easier to create content, identify opportunities and develop offers they’ll actually want to buy.
